New To Bethel

What does Bethel mean?

Bethel is a name found in the Bible that means, "The House of God." Our heart’s desire is that our community of believers would truly be, "The House of God." As followers of Christ, we are to become His house, with His presence dwelling in us. To each believer, God the Father personally ministers healing, deliverance and salvation--just what our broken, hurting world so desperately needs. Our prayer is that from the moment you enter our doors, you will be met with the presence of God and feel welcome in His house, for it is He alone who can sincerely change your life.

What can I expect at Bethel?

We are confident that you will find our worship energetic, our teaching passionate, and our love contagious. Our worship service features a live band with a variety of contemporary music and traditional hymns. At Bethel you will hear a Biblically-based, uncompromised, life-changing message, and will be given the opportunity to respond to the Lord’s prompting via prayer and ministry time around the altar. You may also join us both before and after the service for fellowship in our Cornerstone Café. Bethel welcomes newcomers and guests at all times! Feel free to “come as you are.” On Sunday mornings attire ranges from jeans to suits and dresses.

How do I get connected?

We’re so glad you asked! The key to truly feeling connected is to join a ministry. Don’t have a lot of time? No problem? We have ministries that meet once a week such as our “Sharpened Iron” and “Women of Worth” Proverbs Bible Study groups, and ministries that meet once a month, such as our Community Soup Kitchen. Don’t know how to sing? Play an instrument? Work the sound booth? No, problem! We have ministries that suit a wide variety of interests/talents.

What about my children?

Jesus highly valued children, and so do we. It is our goal that any child who comes to Bethel will be taught Biblical truths in a fun, exciting, age-appropriate way. Our teachers, who are carefully chosen, trained, and screened, are committed to laying Biblical foundations in a safe and loving environment, while encouraging and motivating our children to follow Christ. At Bethel, you will find many ministries designed to bless your children.
